About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at CAR - JON FAMILY RESTAURANTS. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food and service meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of our food service staff, including food preparers and counter attendants.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
    • Hire and manage food service staff.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports.
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
Working Conditions

The Shift Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The position requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking. The Shift Manager must be physically demanding and able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
