Sales Representative

As a Sales Representative at Wesco International, Inc., you will play a key role in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction. Your primary focus will be on interacting with existing customers through phone and email to increase sales of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verifying and entering items, and transferring orders to fulfillment.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products, leveraging customer buying history and preferences.
- Develop and own opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
- Collaborate with outside sales teams to ensure goals are met and customer needs are met.
- Prepare and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders or determine reasons for lost orders.
- Review open customer order reports and take action on open items, including those at risk of missing customer delivery dates.
- Maintain distribution system backorder reports, customer expediting reports, and notices.
- Provide industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
Requirements:
- High School Degree or Equivalent required.
- 2-4 years of experience in sales and sales administration, with a focus on developing higher-level knowledge and skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and communicate clearly.
- Attention to detail and ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and new accounts.
- Ability to take action and solve problems independently.
