Sales Representative

As a Sales Representative at Wesco International, Inc., you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction. Your primary focus will be on interacting with existing customers through phone and email to increase sales of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verifying and entering items, and transferring orders to fulfillment.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to customers, suggesting related items and explaining features to increase sales.
- Own, qualify, and develop opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
- Identify ways to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Prepare and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders or determine reasons for lost orders.
- Review open customer order reports and take action on open items, including those at risk of missing customer delivery dates.
- Maintain distribution system backorder reports, customer expediting reports, and notices.
- Report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
Requirements:
- High School Degree or Equivalent required.
- Requires knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration, with a focus on acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a team environment.
- Clear communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Attention to detail and ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and new accounts.
- Ability to take action and solve a range of problems independently.
