Administrative Support Specialist for LINC Program

We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Administrative Support Specialist within our LINC program. This role is essential in managing the administrative functions associated with a diverse student body.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Responding to inquiries from clients through various communication channels;
- Maintaining and updating client waitlists efficiently;
- Processing all necessary documentation for student enrollment and following up as required;
- Keeping files current, including meticulous record-keeping in our database;
- Collaborating with LINC instructors and childcare personnel;
- Performing administrative tasks such as preparing student correspondence, class rosters, and attendance records;
- Managing client referrals effectively;
- Executing opening and closing procedures;
- Conducting inventories of program supplies and fulfilling all administrative responsibilities.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Completed post-secondary education in Office Administration;
- A minimum of two years of experience in an office setting;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Teams), as well as experience with databases;
- A typing speed of at least 50 words per minute;
- Experience in non-profit organizations and funded programs is preferred;
- Knowledge of a second language is advantageous;
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Please note that a Criminal Record Check is a mandatory requirement for this position.
