About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Black Diamond Group. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of our modular space solutions and workforce accommodation units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform floor repairs, including tile work, and wall building and repairs
  • Install kitchenettes, toilets, and sinks, as well as exterior steel siding and windows
  • Fitting and installing molding's and hardware, and performing yard/shop maintenance and clean up
  • Handle materials and perform general, rough, and finish carpentry, and framing
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1+ years of general construction and/or handyperson experience (modular or trailer/RV experience an asset)
  • Familiarity with basic tools and their use
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and manageable deadlines
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to quality work
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Abstract required
  • Must complete and pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing and criminal records check
  • Fall protection, First Aid, and WHMIS an asset
  • Forklift/tow motor ticket an asset

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods, with frequent bending and lifting up to 75 Lbs
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to complete physically demanding duties, including standing for long periods, repetitive movement, and lifting

Preferred Qualifications

  • French verbal and written proficiency
