Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician I to join our team at BGIS. As a Technician I, you will play a critical role in maintaining the facilities and grounds of our clients' properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities and grounds, including mechanical, electrical, and other systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of facilities and grounds to identify potential issues and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity of facilities and equipment.
  • Respond to service requests and perform work in accordance with established processes and practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance tenant and customer satisfaction and maintain positive relations.
  • Record and track maintenance and repair work, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Up to 1 year of facility operations and maintenance work experience preferred.
  • Ability to adhere to and execute processes and practices related to facility operations and maintenance.
  • Strong client-service orientation and high sense of urgency.
  • Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
  • Ability to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby, and emergency call-outs as needed.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Enhanced security clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated interest in enrolling and completing a trades certification or license.
