Job Summary:

The Boiler Unit Specialist is responsible for conducting thorough functional testing of boiler units and related assemblies in accordance with established procedures, ensuring the highest level of safety and quality at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand dimensional and electrical drawings to identify and troubleshoot operating deficiencies.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and correct deficiencies in piping, burner operations, and other mechanical components.
  • Understand process sheets, identify exceptions, and complete all necessary unit reports.
  • Operate an overhead crane as required.
  • Utilize specific testing equipment such as high pot testers, fuel gas analyzers, and vibration meters.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand dimensional and electrical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to understand and follow all test pit Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent eye for quality.

Working Conditions and Hazards:

Normal plant, shop, field, or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible or no exposure.
