Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Operations Supervisor to join our team at North Eastern Trucking Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our trucking fleet, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 truck drivers and ensure they have the necessary resources to complete their tasks efficiently.
  • Prepare and review production reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and operate signal and track switch control panel to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure drivers have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Coordinate repairs and rentals of equipment and vehicles.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team. The work involves working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods.

Language and Hours

The work language is English, and the work hours are 30 hours per week.
