Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Specialist to provide nurturing and supportive care for children in a home environment. This role is essential in fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere for children to thrive.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in childcare is preferred, with a minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months.
Work Environment

The position offers optional accommodation at no cost on a live-in basis, although this is not a requirement for employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with toilet training as guided by parents.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Shop for groceries and household necessities.
  • Accompany the family on trips, providing supervision and assistance with household duties.
  • Handle laundry, including washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and linens.
  • Guide children in personal hygiene and social skills development.
  • Document daily activities and health information for each child.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy living space.
  • Organize recreational activities, such as games and outings.
  • Prepare and serve balanced meals.
  • Help children settle for rest periods.
  • Supervise and provide care for children.
  • Transport children to school and appointments.
  • Support the emotional well-being of children.
  • Assist with homework and educational activities.
  • Prepare meals as needed.

A criminal record check is mandatory for this position.

Transportation

Public transportation options are readily available.

Physical Requirements

The role may involve handling weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
