Job Summary

The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Director to lead the Psychology Clinic. As a key member of the Department of Psychology and Health Studies, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction and management of the clinic, ensuring it meets the highest standards of clinical practice and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Psychology Clinic, aligning with the University's goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and manage a team of staff psychologists and frontline staff, ensuring excellent clinical services and a positive work environment.
  • Provide clinical supervision to graduate students, pre-doctoral residents, and provisionally registered psychologists, promoting their professional development and competence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party organizations, such as health regions and insurance companies, to secure referrals and partnerships.
  • Oversee the clinic's budget, resources, and operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the clinic's services adhere to provincial and national standards of ethics and practice, maintaining a strong reputation for excellence.
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing feedback and guidance to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the Department Head and the USPC Advisory Committee to ensure alignment with departmental and university goals.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a CPA-accredited program or an APA-accredited program.
  • Current registration as a Psychologist in Saskatchewan or fully registered in another jurisdiction covered under the Mutual Recognition Agreement.
  • Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) within the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision, managing a clinical practice, and administrative duties.
  • Excellent communication, management, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
