Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our team in the Durham Region. As a Communicative Disorders Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy services to individuals of various ages and backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions to clients under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists and other practitioners to develop and implement therapy plans.
- Assist with parent and client workshops, and provide families with resources and information.
- Participate in continuing education classes and workshops to stay current in the field.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Communicative Disorders Assistant Program.
- Member of CDAAC.
- Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
