Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our team in the Durham Region. As a Communicative Disorders Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy services to individuals of various ages and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions to clients under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists and other practitioners to develop and implement therapy plans.
  • Assist with creating and developing therapy materials as needed.
  • Provide families with resources, information, and home programs to support their loved ones.
  • Participate in continuing education classes and workshops to stay current in the field.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Communicative Disorders Assistant Program.
  • Member of CDAAC.
  • Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
