Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our team in the Durham Region. As a CDA, you will work under the guidance and supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy to individuals of various ages and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to clients under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Collaborate with clients from diverse backgrounds and specialized populations.
  • Develop and implement therapy materials as needed.
  • Offer families resources, information, and home programs.
  • Assist with parent and client workshops.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current in the field.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Communicative Disorders Assistant Program.
  • Member of CDAAC.
  • Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
