Overview:

Our expanding organization is seeking a Territory Sales Specialist to enhance sales in our designated market.

The Territory Sales Specialist is responsible for marketing company offerings and services to assigned clientele within their region. Key responsibilities include three main objectives: generating sales, safeguarding existing sales, and developing new sales opportunities with both current and prospective clients. Ideal candidates will actively seek new business prospects, nurture existing relationships, and diligently follow up on potential leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes company offerings by identifying leads and engaging with assigned customer accounts, providing samples, product information, and sales materials to clients and potential clients, resulting in established relationships and successful orders to meet sales targets.
  • Builds and maintains effective business relationships with the purchasing and management teams of clients, ensuring all transactions are conducted in a professional, ethical, and timely manner, positioning TTI as the preferred distributor.
  • Explores new business opportunities using various resources, including representatives, trade shows, networking, manufacturers, and internal TTI resources to penetrate and secure new business, thereby expanding the customer base.
  • Ensures thorough follow-up throughout the sales cycle by maintaining communication with clients, internal sales teams, manufacturers, and managing sample requests and quotes to ensure timely and complete service that meets client expectations.
  • Participates in quarterly business reviews with suppliers and regular meetings with internal management to gain insights into business outlook and opportunities.
  • Ensures timely pricing quotes are provided to clients by collaborating with appropriate TTI personnel to gather accurate product and delivery information, ensuring optimal solutions for clients and profitability for TTI.
  • Enhances customer account coverage by collaborating closely with Account Representatives to ensure clients receive exceptional service and support.
  • Collaborates with clients' purchasing and engineering teams on projects and designs, offering value-added services to secure future business.
  • Strategizes with company management on significant customer quotes to negotiate pricing and delivery terms that provide the best value for clients while maximizing profitability for TTI.
  • Negotiates special pricing with suppliers by identifying business opportunities during the quoting process to offer competitive deals to clients.
  • Addresses and resolves all client inquiries, issues, and complaints promptly, ensuring the highest level of service is maintained.
  • Engages with clients in a professional manner to facilitate negotiations and express appreciation for their business.
  • Maintains awareness of market trends, competitor activities, and new concepts by reading industry publications, networking, and attending training events and trade shows to stay informed and add value.
  • Reports daily activities to branch management, detailing appointments and topics of discussion to track customer engagement and effectiveness.
  • Participates in the TTI Total Quality Program by supporting quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with defined processes, and identifying areas for improvement in daily transactions.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with two years of experience in Engineering and/or Component Sales preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Certifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to effectively present complex topics to senior management and public groups.
  • Excellent analytical skills, capable of calculating discounts, commissions, and percentages.
  • Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and presentations professionally.
  • Adept at reading and interpreting business publications and technical procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with company policies, procedures, and computer systems.
  • Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
  • Willingness to travel as required by the territory.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Bilingual in English and French preferred.
