Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Coordinator to join our team at Teck Resources Limited. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards, as well as developing and implementing effective environmental management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and sampling programs to assess water quality and identify potential environmental risks.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous Governments and Organizations to ensure effective environmental management and community engagement.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to site personnel on environmental compliance and management practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impacts and ensure sustainable operations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain environmental reports and documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Environmental Studies, Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental compliance and management, with a focus on water resources management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective environmental management systems.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, with the ability to safely operate different equipment.
