Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Coordinator to join our team at Teck Resources Limited. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards, as well as developing and implementing effective environmental management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and sampling programs to assess water quality and identify potential environmental risks.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous Governments and Organizations to ensure effective environmental management and community engagement.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to site personnel on environmental compliance and management practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate environmental risks and ensure effective environmental management.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor environmental conditions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain environmental reports and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Environmental Studies, Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental compliance or monitoring, with a strong background in water quality management.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing environmental management systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, with the ability to safely operate different equipment.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $103,000 - $127,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health spending account, personal spending account, extended health care, dental and vision care, employer-paid pension plan, life insurance and disability coverage, paid sick leave, vacation and holidays, virtual telemedicine, and employee and family assistance program (EFAP).
