About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to join our team at Teck Resources. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Compliance: Develop and implement environmental compliance programs to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Water Quality Management: Manage water quality sampling and monitoring programs to confirm regulatory compliance and environmental conditions.
  • Environmental Data Management: Oversee the collection and interpretation of environmental data, including water quality and acid rock drainage.
  • Regulatory Affairs: Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory partners, including Indigenous Governments and Organizations.
  • Project Management: Manage environmental projects, including developing scopes of work, reviewing technical reports, and contributing to environmental assessments.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with site departments to facilitate environmental education and compliance assurance.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Environmental Studies, Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum seven years of experience in environmental compliance or monitoring, in an industrial environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a proven capacity for practical problem solving. Experience with environmental data management software and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Qualifications: Valid Class 5 driver's license, with the ability to safely operate different equipment.
