About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Information Technology Services team as an IT Service Desk Assistant. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to internal staff and external clients, resolving technical issues and providing support for various IT systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to Help Desk inquiries and provide solutions to technical issues related to computer equipment and software.
  • Record client interactions using ticket tracking software and monitor urgent issues.
  • Provide second-level support for the ITS Service Desk, ensuring referral, escalation, and follow-up procedures are applied correctly.
  • Participate in technical project teams to assist in the delivery of ITS-related projects and programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Ensure services provided meet Regional customer service standards.
  • Manage information in accordance with legislation and corporate standards.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time IT or related program and have a required co-op, placement, or internship to graduate.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and technology components.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies, including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative, and flexibility.
  • Computer literacy using MS Office software applications.
  • Ability to organize daily workload, set priorities, and meet required deadlines.
  • Ability to work with PC-based hardware, printers, Microsoft Windows operating system, and MS Office applications to resolve client issues.
