As a Low Vision Rehabilitation Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive functional low vision assessments to determine individual needs and abilities.
  • Providing personalized training on the effective use of optical and non-optical aids, tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Educating individuals about their eye condition, vision health, and available resources to support their well-being.
  • Delivering informative public speaking seminars and workshops to raise awareness about vision loss and rehabilitation options.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including ophthalmologists, optometrists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in low vision technology and adaptive equipment to provide cutting-edge solutions.
