Logistics Coordinator

Position Overview: As a Shipping and Receiving Associate at RIMEX Supply, you will be tasked with managing the movement of products into and out of our facility. Your role is vital in ensuring that shipments and receipts are executed accurately and promptly, while also maintaining comprehensive inventory records. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment are crucial for success in this position.
This position is initially offered as a temporary/hourly role, with the potential for permanent placement based on performance and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Process incoming shipments and confirm the accuracy of received items against packing slips or purchase orders utilizing ERP Software (Syteline). Examine goods for any damage and report any discrepancies or damages to the relevant personnel. Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling items in accordance with shipping requirements and customer orders through ERP Software (Syteline). Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely dispatch of products. Maintain precise inventory records using computerized systems and physical counts. Organize and manage the warehouse or storage areas to optimize space utilization and maintain cleanliness. Communicate effectively with internal teams, including purchasing, production, and sales, to coordinate shipment schedules and address any issues that may arise. Manage shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork, ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies. Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and others. Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support inventory, warehouse, and logistics operations.Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous. Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred. Proficiency in utilizing computerized inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing paperwork and inventory records. Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team setting. Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams, external vendors, and carriers. Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.Benefits:
