Job Summary

Velocity Truck Centres Canada is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Saanichton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the receipt, storage, and dispatch of parts and accessories, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, unload and unpack shipments, and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately, generate shipping labels and documentation, and coordinate with carriers for pick-ups.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and stock audits, updating inventory systems as needed.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, implementing efficient storage solutions to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with parts and service departments to ensure timely availability of parts, and communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role, preferably within the automotive or commercial transport industry.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred), proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Physical Demands: Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
