Job Overview: As a Shipping and Receiving Associate at RIMEX Supply, you will be integral in managing the movement of products within our organization. Your role will ensure that shipments and receipts are handled accurately and promptly, while maintaining precise inventory records and collaborating with various departments to support seamless operations. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment are vital for success in this position.
This position is initially offered as a temporary/hourly role, with the potential for permanent placement based on performance and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Process incoming shipments and confirm the accuracy of received items against packing slips or purchase orders utilizing ERP Software (Syteline). Assess products for any damage and report any discrepancies or damages to the relevant personnel. Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling items in accordance with shipping standards and customer requirements through ERP Software (Syteline). Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely dispatch of products. Maintain precise inventory records through computerized systems and physical counts. Organize and manage the warehouse or storage areas to optimize space utilization and uphold cleanliness. Communicate effectively with internal teams, including purchasing, production, and sales, to synchronize shipment schedules and address any issues that may arise. Manage shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork, ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies. Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently. Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and others. Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support inventory, warehouse, and logistics operations.Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred. Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing paperwork and inventory records. Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams, external vendors, and carriers. Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.Benefits:
