Position Overview:
The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, and repair of refrigeration systems. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and efficiently manage their tasks.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems including boilers, heat pumps, cooling towers, and air handling units.
- Engage with clients to determine their equipment requirements.
- Maintain a detailed inventory of HVAC tools and resources.
- Diagnose and repair electrically controlled heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Utilize temperature and pressure testing instruments to troubleshoot refrigeration or heating systems.
- Adjust refrigerant levels to optimize system performance.
- Document readings from refrigeration units, including temperature and pressure metrics.
- Identify refrigerant leaks using electronic detection methods.
- Resolve air or water flow issues effectively.
- Replace essential components such as fan blades and motors as needed.
- Adjust controls within air handling systems to ensure optimal environmental conditions.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical doors and hardware.
- Utilize oxy-acetylene torches for various tasks including cutting and brazing.
- Maintain cleanliness in mechanical areas.
- Complete and process work orders efficiently.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
