Deciem is Seeking a Skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Deciem. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, performing routine maintenance tasks, and providing excellent customer service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades to ensure the facilities are in good working condition.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or facility damage, and take prompt action to resolve the issue.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with employees, management, and vendors to ensure that facilities-related issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize facilities operations and reduce costs.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
