Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at 1897203 ONTARIO INC. as a Child Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Child Care and Supervision: Provide high-quality care and supervision to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective relationships with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children's behavior and development, preparing regular reports for parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
  • Staff Meetings and Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress, share best practices, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child-care setting.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Transportation: Own transportation is required.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, reliability, and ability to multitask.
