About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented TD Civic Engagement, Strategic Initiatives and Impact Coordinator to join our team at Queen's University. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of program-driven strategies that build capacity for audience development, membership engagement, and visitor service in support of the socially-minded and civically-engaged vision of Agnes Reimagined.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct community-based research to inform program development and implementation
  • Develop and implement strategies to build capacity for audience development, membership engagement, and visitor service
  • Collaborate with the Director and Curator, Administration and Operations Coordinator, and Program Coordinator to develop and implement new gallery systems and membership initiatives
  • Establish a new visitor services model that informs the operations of the new welcome centre
  • Assist with specific programs targeting youth and underserviced communities
What We Offer

This is an exciting role for anyone who has faced systemic barriers within museums. The successful candidate will gain hands-on professional experience in the museum field and have a hand in changing museum practices to foster a more equitable future for a new generation of museum participants and audiences.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of community-based research and program development, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. They will be able to work variable hours on occasion, according to operational and program needs.
