Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Global Finance Reporting team in the area of Transfer Pricing. The successful candidate will be responsible for governing the process for the creation of intra-group agreements, as well as charging for intragroup support services and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transfer Pricing Governance: Own, update and implement the Bank's Global Transfer Pricing of Intragroup Services Framework.
  • Monitoring and Measurement: Monitor and measure activities performed by the team and other areas of the bank, ensuring they are in conformance with the program's expectations.
  • Service Level Agreements: Oversee and facilitate the creation of service level agreements, including maintaining and enhancing workflow, assessing services and cost drivers, and liaising with intragroup service providers and recipients.
  • Transfer Pricing Charge Outs: Coordinate team resources to compile, analyze and account for transfer pricing charge outs to the Bank's foreign entities for services provided by head office departments.
  • System Tool Management: Own the system tool, GIST, and coordinate with technology and project management teams to enhance the system's effectiveness and usability.
  • Inquiry and Dispute Resolution: Administer the inquiry and dispute resolution process and apply effective judgment where needed.
  • Risk Management: Ensure audit, compliance, tax and regulatory risks are proactively managed and implement mitigating actions, where required.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Continuously monitor activities, including identification and implementation of initiatives that improve program effectiveness and efficiency, and perform financial analysis and reporting duties.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects and ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements
  • Transfer Pricing Knowledge: Knowledge of transfer pricing and tax strategies for intra-group arrangements.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership skills, coaching skills and stewardship capabilities in a complex and changing environment, with the ability to communicate a vision, analysis and findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Problem-Solving and Conflict Management: Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and provide forward-thinking recommendations, with highly adept problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Highly organized, able to work independently, with demonstrated experience in solving problems and making decisions in time-pressured environments.
  • Team Player: Strong team player with proven ability to work effectively with others to achieve common objectives.
  • Education and Certifications: Post-secondary degree in business/finance/accounting is required, with a professional accounting designation preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of PeopleSoft EGL, OBI, Excel, Power Point, with Spanish as an asset.
