About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the development and implementation of transfer pricing strategies for Scotiabank's global operations. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, including regional leads, tax partners, and business line finance representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transfer Pricing Governance: Develop and implement transfer pricing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management frameworks.
  • Global Finance Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports, including transfer pricing charge-outs, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including regional leads, tax partners, and business line finance representatives, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management on transfer pricing strategies and related financial matters.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of finance professionals to achieve business objectives and ensure effective execution of transfer pricing strategies.
Requirements
  • Transfer Pricing Expertise: Proven experience in transfer pricing, including knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal risk management frameworks.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior management.
  • Financial Analysis: Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct complex financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Professional Certifications: Professional accounting designations, such as CPA or CMA, are preferred.
