We are seeking a Kitting Lead to support the management team and lead hands by overseeing the preparation of dockets and generating all necessary shipping labels. The ideal candidate will identify efficiencies in operations, troubleshoot challenges, and implement effective solutions as they arise. Furthermore, the Kitting Lead will manage projects and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staffing

  • Collaborate closely with lead hands to address kitting requirements and coordinate temporary staffing solutions.
  • Process timesheets for all temporary personnel submitted to staffing agencies.
  • Assist in training both full-time and temporary staff members.
  • Support Health & Safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and guidelines.

Production

  • Assist in resolving production challenges in line with company standards.
  • Monitor schedules for upcoming jobs.
  • Engage in production meetings to discuss new job assignments.
  • Notify management of significant production issues or delays affecting delivery timelines.
  • Participate in departmental meetings prior to shifts to clarify daily objectives and tasks.

General Duties

  • Generate all shipping labels, ensuring accurate formatting for provided files and relay tracking and cost information to the Client Services department.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness within the department, adhering to housekeeping standards and reporting shortages of supplies.
  • Ensure all equipment is operational, troubleshooting and arranging repairs as necessary.
  • Utilize Microsoft D365 to approve picksheets, flagging any time discrepancies to management and closing RAF dockets as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a Warehouse Administrator or comparable role.
  • Familiarity with shipping couriers and freight logistics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
