We are seeking a Kitting Lead to support the manager and lead hands by preparing dockets and generating all shipping labels. The ideal candidate will identify efficiencies on the production line, troubleshoot problems, and devise solutions as challenges arise. Furthermore, the Kitting Lead will manage projects and ensure operations remain within budgetary constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staffing:

  • Collaborate closely with lead hands to meet kitting requirements and organize temporary staffing solutions.
  • Process timesheets for all temporary personnel through relevant agencies.
  • Assist in training both full-time and temporary staff members.
  • Support Health & Safety initiatives, ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.

Production:

  • Help resolve production challenges in line with company standards.
  • Keep track of schedules for upcoming jobs.
  • Engage in production meetings to discuss new job requirements.
  • Notify the Manager of significant production issues or delays that may affect delivery timelines.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to outline daily expectations and job assignments.

General:

  • Generate all shipping labels, ensuring proper formatting for provided files and supplying tracking and cost information to the Client Services department.
  • Maintain an organized and clean department, adhering to housekeeping standards and reporting any shortages of supplies.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly, troubleshooting and coordinating repairs as necessary.
  • Utilize Microsoft D365 to approve picksheets, flagging any time discrepancies to the manager and closing and RAF dockets as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a Warehouse Administrator or comparable role.
  • Familiarity with shipping couriers and freight systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
