Job Summary:

Cogeco is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Distribution Centre Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our distribution centre operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective processing of equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily duties by following established operational procedures, including the operation of test equipment and motorized vehicles.
  • Use various test devices and software to determine condition and disposition, and identify and assign preliminary fault information to units requiring functional repair.
  • Perform database and administrative procedures as required for HTD Testing & Refurbishing, Order Fill, Shipping and Receiving, and fulfill technician and contractor equipment orders.
  • Process equipment returns from all sources, including customers, contractors, and technicians.
  • Salvage accessories, maintain units within the work area for deployment, and sort kit accessories and literature for furtherance to the kitting work cell.
  • Package and label equipment for redeployment, furtherance, or storage, and dispose of corrugate and empty work station garbage bins.
  • Comply with daily 6S procedures and participate in physical inventory counts.
  • Safeguard TDC operations and contents by complying with security procedures and protocols.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related job tasks, projects, and other duties as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required.
  • 1-3 years' previous experience in a distribution centre and/or packaging environment required.
  • 1-3 years' previous Skid Wrapper, Pump truck, Forklift, Raymond Reach certification and experience is preferred.
  • 1-3 years' experience testing and validating equipment is an asset.
  • 1-3 years' experience of Basic CATV materials is an asset.
  • Exposure to Oracle Financial system is an asset.

Specific Competencies:

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel) and Knowledge of WHMIS and MSDS experience.
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise tact, sound judgement, and discretion when dealing with others.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to take initiative in identifying and resolving problems.
  • Possesses sound organisational, problem solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Concentration and a high attention to detail are required when auditing and entering results.
  • Must organize activities and prioritize to ensure timely completion of multiple order demands.

Physical Demands and Visual Acuity:

  • Must lift and move heavy packages and equipment regularly (up to 50 pounds).
  • Warehouse environment, including work in all climatic conditions.
  • Flexibility required with respect to hours of work as business needs change.
