Siemens Canada Limited is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Process and Technology Specialist for a 4-month Co-operative Education (Co-op) placement. This exciting opportunity will be based in our Oakville office, where you'll contribute to the digital transformation of business processes within our Regional Process Office Canada.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with experienced consultants to analyze, optimize, and implement innovative solutions across various operational areas. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our internal processes, driving positive change within Siemens Canada.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in identifying new digital transformation opportunities by conducting thorough process analyses and assessing their feasibility alongside consultants and process owners.
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in Low-Code application platforms such as Mendix, Robotic Software Automation (RPA/RDA) projects, and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Actively engage in process optimization and design workshops as part of agile project teams, contributing your technical expertise and innovative ideas.
  • Support our ongoing initiatives focused on internal improvement, idea generation, and innovation programs.
  • Create compelling presentations and announcements using PowerPoint or video editing tools to effectively communicate project updates and key findings.
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency in using PowerPoint and video editing tools to prepare clear and concise project documentation.
  • A genuine passion for emerging technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes.
  • Basic understanding of algorithms and coding principles.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to effectively work within international project teams.
