Job Summary

The Supply Chain Optimization Specialist is responsible for ensuring that production build plans are optimized to achieve and exceed organizational objectives for service to customers and inventory health. This role involves creating detailed supply and capacity plans in the mid to long-term horizon for assigned product categories, collaborating cross-functionally, and problem-solving to achieve supply objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed supply and capacity plans to achieve customer service and inventory health objectives.
  • Identify and communicate potential supply issues impacting the business, conducting 'what-if' analysis for supply scenarios.
  • Participate in projects, innovations, M&A, and new products capacity planning.
  • Develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to problem-solve and align on priorities and trade-off decisions.
  • Provide instruction to colleagues for inventory deployment and balancing of inventory between locations to achieve fill rate and days of inventory objectives.
  • Maintain planning master data and address non-productive inventory in alignment with Inventory Quality Ratio objectives.
  • Drive timely, appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the Supply Plan.
  • Escalate in a timely manner and use good judgment to intervene as needed to achieve KPIs for fill rates and inventory.
  • Create inventory projection reports for distribution capacity planning and Finance visibility on plan versus forecasts and working capital requirements.

Requirements:

  • University degree with a specialty in Supply Chain, Computers, Data Analytics, or Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant supply planning experience, preferably within an industrial manufacturing or CPG environment.
  • Strong analytical ability, good judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer focus, with the drive for results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ability to interpret large amounts of data; high attention to detail.
  • Experience with data visualization and analysis using Power BI desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, and as a team player.
  • Adept at working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with supply planning software desirable (especially SAP-IBP).
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
