Role Overview
The External Affairs Lead will be instrumental in shaping PUR's engagement with policy frameworks and strategic partnerships on a global scale. This role involves collaborating with government entities, international organizations, and certification bodies to centralize PUR's strategy for policy engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
External Affairs Strategy & Management:
- Develop and formalize strategies for engaging with policy, frameworks, and industry initiatives.
- Participate actively in prioritized initiatives involving government bodies and relevant frameworks.
Policy Analysis & Engagement:
- Lead the creation of a Policy Analytical Framework and a Policy Dashboard for project analysis.
- Oversee the execution of the Analytical Framework across priority countries.
- Coordinate the Policy Engagement Strategy with regional managers to enhance project placement and inform future policy developments.
Framework Analysis & Engagement:
- Develop a Framework Tracker for ongoing monitoring of framework changes.
- Manage daily responsibilities related to framework engagement and internal information dissemination.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Guide the Strategic Partnerships Manager in developing a prioritized partnerships strategy aligned with PUR's goals.
- Support partnership development and management efforts, ensuring alignment with PUR's interests.
Candidate Profile:
- Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as environmental science, public affairs, or climate policy.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including engagement with government institutions.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical topics effectively within diverse teams.
- At least 6 years of experience in external affairs.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or Spanish is advantageous.
