External Affairs Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented External Affairs Analyst to join our team at Kinross Gold Corporation. As a key member of our global external affairs function, you will play a critical role in supporting our business and operations by monitoring and analyzing key political, public policy, social, and regulatory developments globally.
Your primary responsibilities will include consolidating and monitoring research, analyzing and reporting on key developments, preparing briefing notes and talking points for internal reporting and engagement with external stakeholders, and providing support to the Manager, External Affairs and other teams in the preparation and coordination of meetings with government officials, community partners, industry peers, external consultants and advisors, and other external stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for preparing correspondence to various government representatives and other external stakeholders, supporting the research, preparation and maintenance of stakeholder databases, maps, and engagement plans, and researching and preparing presentations on political/external risk analysis for new areas of interest in connection with corporate development and other initiatives.
In addition, you will provide project coordination and management support to the Manager, External Affairs, and other teams, and assist with the development of corporate policies, templates, reporting processes, etc. as directed.
As a successful candidate, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant area such as political science, public policy, international relations, or a related field, and 2-3 years of relevant work experience. You will also have strong research and writing skills, be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with dispersed and multicultural teams, and have strong time management, prioritization, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
English language fluency is required, and French or Spanish language capability is a distinct advantage.
