About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented External Affairs Analyst to join our team at Kinross Gold Corporation. In this role, you will provide critical support to our global external affairs function, conducting research, analysis, and reporting on key political, public policy, social, and regulatory developments.

As an External Affairs Analyst, you will work closely with our Manager, External Affairs, to prepare briefing notes, talking points, and other materials for internal reporting and engagement with external stakeholders. You will also provide support in the preparation and coordination of meetings with government officials, community partners, industry peers, and other external stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate eager to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and apply that knowledge to support various global government relations initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on key political, public policy, social, and regulatory developments
  • Prepare briefing notes, talking points, and other materials for internal reporting and engagement with external stakeholders
  • Support the preparation and coordination of meetings with government officials, community partners, industry peers, and other external stakeholders
  • Provide project coordination and management support to the Manager, External Affairs, and other teams
  • Assist with the development of corporate policies, templates, reporting processes, and other initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area such as political science, public policy, international relations, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • English language fluency is required; French or Spanish language capability is a distinct advantage
