Senior System Consultant - Application and Integration

Permanent Full-Time Position

The Senior System Consultant plays a crucial role in collaborating with both internal and external partners to implement, enhance, support, and sustain the non-clinical systems and integrations for Mackenzie Health. This position is responsible for driving system enhancements, process innovations, system upgrades, and managing optimal customer service support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and lead user workshops while collaborating with various teams throughout all stages of the system lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, development, data flow, implementation, integration, testing, training, support, and maintenance.
  • Oversee system troubleshooting, modifications, patching, configuration, release documentation review, and process mapping, ensuring all aspects of non-clinical systems are managed effectively.
  • Develop and document comprehensive upgrade plans, testing scripts, technical documentation, and user training materials.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the team, contributing to the operational and strategic planning of non-clinical systems.

Required Qualifications

  • A university degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in the implementation, support, and maintenance of large-scale systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of interface and integration methodologies, including HL7, SOAP, Web Services, DICOM, FHIR, as well as database management (SQL or Oracle) and programming languages (PHP, C#, Python, or Java).
  • Experience with EMRs, interface engines, clinical applications, and device integration is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with PowerApps, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and virtualization technologies.
