Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Business Risk Management. This role will support the Director, Business Risk Management in building and maintaining a high level of capability relative to risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring across our Lines of Business (LoB).

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Enterprise Risk Control Assessment processes for the LoB, working with business representatives to ensure risk appetite constraints are supported by appropriate rationale.
  • Ensure program and initiative owners assess impact on risk appetite, including discussion and identification of the need for modeling and other testing where required.
  • Document and maintain a LoB controls inventory based on RBC policies, regulatory requirements, and Internal Audit findings.
  • Work in partnership with BRMS control testing to onboard key controls and develop testing practices and methodologies.
  • Monitor risk culture and capabilities within the LoB, identifying areas for skill development and implementing knowledge building and best practice sharing to build capability.
  • Assist firm audits, issue identification, and action plan management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience in financial services with 3-5 years in leadership.
  • Proven business acumen and credibility.
  • Strong influencing, collaboration, relationship building, and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with significant knowledge and understanding of RBC businesses and organization.
  • Proven change management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, inquisitive nature, and comfort challenging current practices.
