Job Title: Senior Risk Analyst, Enterprise Risk Management

Corporation Canadienne de Compensation de Produits Dérivés is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our Enterprise Risk Management Program and ensuring the operational resilience of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management, in the risk evaluation process, collaborating with risk identification, assessment, and measurement of key strategic initiatives and/or significant projects.
  • Partner closely with Business groups, Risk Management, Technology, Information Security, Legal, and other representatives across the Organization to ensure business, operational, and information risks related to key initiatives are managed to an acceptable level.
  • Act as a key point of contact for the ERM team and participate in various internal governance committee meetings and external meetings with Senior Management and Regulators to provide a risk profile update.
  • Support business lines in the completion of the quarterly risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) exercise and maintain the corporate risk register up-to-date.
  • Complete research linked to specific risk-related projects and risk assessments.
  • Define Key Performance and Risk Indicators for effective business management.
  • Lead the Incident Management Program, ensuring that risk events are adequately identified, analyzed, and reported to the regulators.
  • Update annual documentation related to business continuity management (Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plan, etc.) and coordinate Disaster Recovery tests (internal, industry-wide, etc.).
  • Support the implementation of risk models, methodologies, standards, and procedures to enable the execution of Post-Trade ERM/ORM monitoring program including planning, sampling, testing, issue tracking, reporting, and oversight/challenge.
  • Review Contracts and SLAs, perform due diligence and risk assessment to the Post-Trade's critical service providers as part of ongoing Third-Party Performance and Risk Monitoring.
  • Lead the business units to create and operationalize key initiatives post-implementation system and process-wide Incident Management processes.
  • Monitor opportunities to enhance Post-Trade's non-resilience, and propose risk mitigation measurements across Key Business Processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Senior Leadership Team, Risk Management Committee, and Board reporting.
  • Promote a positive risk management culture through training, communication, and promotion of standard methodologies.
  • Act as an ambassador for the risk function when gathering data and working with peers and external partners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, Master preferred.
  • Experience in the delivery of ERM/ORM projects.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Risk Management or Middle/Back Office service.
  • Experience and knowledge of Risk Management concepts like Operational risk management, Risk appetite, Internal controls, Business continuity management, Crises management, Third-party risk management, Cyber risk, and related operational resilience concepts.
  • Good understanding of financial institutions, infrastructures, and markets.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment, and coordination of work across a large number of partners.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to competently act as a data recorder/scribe during risk assessment working sessions, draw up executive reports, and prepare a high-end presentation.
  • Good analytical skills; Attention to detail; Self-confidence, positive attitude, pragmatism; Ability to reflect and summarize; Sense of priorities; Team spirit; Continuously demonstrate a passion for learning more about the TMX businesses and the Exchange sector and learn as much as possible from business unit staff.
Assets:
  • Certifications in risk and/or business continuity.
  • Knowledge of Google for Work.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Experience within a Management Consulting firm.
