About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Worker to join our team at Willowbrae Academy Victoria. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with our team to design and implement engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assisting Educators: Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that foster the growth and well-being of children.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Team Collaboration: Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for children.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Child care centre in an urban area.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.
