About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Wild Coast Daycare Ltd. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Storytelling and Activities: Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encouraging Creativity: Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guiding Children: Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establishing Guidelines: Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability and team player
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience an asset
Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
