Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Maple Tree Children's Centre Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
  • Assistance and Support: Assist co-workers with housekeeping and cooking duties, and provide support to early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote children's development.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development, as well as submitting written observations to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in various activities, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, to promote their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance of daycare equipment to provide a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess an Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification, as well as an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Obtain a criminal record check and maintain a clean record.
  • Language and Communication: Possess excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week, with the possibility of permanent employment.
