Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement sound recruitment and onboarding strategies and programs, promoting diversity and equity best practices.
- Provide expertise, advice, tools, and training to management on recruitment, onboarding, and reporting.
- Support the department in all other aspects of HR.
- Use various channels and platforms to actively search and engage with potential candidates.
- Maintain and develop a database of passive and active candidates to ensure a steady supply of potential hires for current and future job openings.
- Plan, track, manage targeted social media AD campaigns.
- Manage the website posting process and all other online job boards.
- Prime liaison with recruitment agencies.
- Stay informed on market intelligence and industry trends.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand the business and proactively develop and execute Talent Acquisition initiatives aligned with and in support of the Company's strategies.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for the company, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, creating and negotiating offer letters, onboarding and orientation.
- Disciplined approach to interviews, leveraging assessments and behavioural interview techniques.
- Keep candidates engaged and informed throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Coordinate summer positions/university/college Co-Op recruitment cycles.
- Provide monthly, analytical recruitment reports to management.
- Participate in planning employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in diversity, equity, & inclusion initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews and track data trends from results.
- Analyze and report on recruitment metrics including sourcing channel effectiveness and time to fill, to drive continuous improvement.
- Brand marketing skills to create sourcing campaigns.
- Relationship building strength to professionally promote Gerrie brand.
- Strong HR & business acumen, professional demeanor, and attitude.
- Experience with promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Solid understanding of employment law, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. ADP WFN an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in a recruitment specialist role working in a high growth environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; additional HR certification is an asset.
- Exposure to various recruitment technology tools including applicant tracking systems, internet job boards, social media channels etc.
- Experience in developing and implementing successful social media recruitment strategies.
- Proven record of delivering tangible results within a recruitment/talent role.
