Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at CB Canada. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects from concept to production, ensuring that our products meet or exceed safety standards and are designed with environmental and social responsibility in mind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Design and Development
    • Design and develop new products and product lines, including preparation of engineering drawings, schematics, and prototypes.
    • Analyze current product offerings to identify opportunities for improvement, including cost reduction, quality enhancement, and functionality expansion.
  • Product Testing and Validation
    • Test and validate physical and computerized drawings and prototypes to ensure functionality, reliability, and ease of manufacture.
    • Identify and troubleshoot product malfunctions and failures to prevent future concerns.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure that product specifications align with corporate strategy and competitive goals.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure that product requirements are met.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product development methodologies, and sales strategies to ensure that our products remain competitive.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in product development, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
