As a Legal Counsel, you'll be responsible for negotiating complex deals, partnering with cross-functional teams, and serving as an expert in contract negotiations. Your expertise will be invaluable in harmonizing risk tolerance, managing compliance expectations, and setting a pro-growth directive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating and executing growth-impacting deals with major customers and partners
  • Partnering with teams to manage compliance expectations and set a pro-growth directive
  • Serving as an expert in contract negotiations and expanding our vendor and partner portfolio
  • Supporting research and product expansion initiatives
  • Counseling on general corporate business matters and assisting in global expansion efforts

Requirements include:

  • Active membership in the Law Society of British Columbia with 4-7 years of post-call experience
  • Experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer with exposure to SaaS technology, cross-border transactions, technology M&A, or international privacy and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to work well under pressure
  • Expert collaboration and relationship-building skills

The base pay range for this position in Vancouver is $130k - $165k / year + bonus. Compensation will be determined by factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge, and skills.
