As a Legal Counsel, you'll be responsible for negotiating complex deals, partnering with cross-functional teams, and serving as an expert in contract negotiations. Your expertise will be invaluable in harmonizing risk tolerance, managing compliance expectations, and setting a pro-growth directive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating and executing growth-impacting deals with global customers and partners
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to manage compliance and risk
  • Serving as an expert in contract negotiations and vendor/partner portfolio expansion
  • Supporting research and product expansion initiatives
  • Counseling on general corporate business matters and employment relations

Requirements:

  • Active member of the Law Society of British Columbia with 4-7 years post-call experience
  • Experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer with exposure to SaaS technology, cross-border transactions, technology M&A, or international privacy and compliance
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Expert collaborator with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
