We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to join our team at Doman Building Materials Group Ltd. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to our business units.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate governance, employment law, health and safety, environmental law, and real estate matters.
- Assist in the negotiation and documentation of commercial agreements, including acquisitions and financings.
- Research and analyze legal issues and risks, and provide recommendations to management.
- Handle employment and labour issues, and manage litigation.
- Member in good standing of a provincial bar.
- Undergraduate degree in business is an asset.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in corporate commercial and/or securities practice.
- Well-organized, excellent drafting skills, and strong understanding of public company legal requirements.
- Base salary up to $150,000 annually.
- Annual incentive plan based on company performance.
- Health benefits, group pension plan, and option to purchase Doman stock at a discounted price.
