About the Role

Indigo Park Canada Inc. is a leading provider of parking and transportation solutions in Canada, with a strong presence in major cities across the country. As a result of its recent expansion and growth, the company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to join its in-house legal team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Vice President & General Counsel and will be responsible for providing operational, legal, and strategic advice to the organization's management and executive leadership teams. This will include negotiating and drafting core commercial services agreements and leases, as well as third-party vendor contracting. The role will also involve ongoing work in compliance and related policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization's management and executive leadership teams on a broad range of commercial and operational matters.
  • Negotiate and draft core commercial services agreements and leases, as well as third-party vendor contracting.
  • Develop and implement compliance programs and policies to ensure the organization's adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the General Counsel on governance projects and initiatives, including those related to the company's parent organization in France and North American joint venture partners.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial and/or real estate law, in a combination of in-house and large or mid-sized private practice environments.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Canada.
  • Excellent drafting skills, business acumen, and a growth mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on cross-functional projects.
  • Impeccable English, written and spoken; bilingual in French is an asset.
