Clinical Social Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Clinical Social Worker, you will provide clinical social work counseling services to clients and families with serious, persistent mental illness and substance use in the clinical specialty area within the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments of clients with mental illness and substance misuse/dependence.
- Provide education and support to clients, families, and healthcare professionals on issues related to high risk factors, recovery, and current community practice in the field of mental health.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver in-services, presentations, psycho-educational and support groups.
- Initiate, develop, and carry out research activities in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with mental health and related community service agencies and family physicians to determine appropriate levels of care and the effective utilization of client resources.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of Social Work.
- Two years' recent, related experience in a mental health treatment setting or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
