Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at L3Harris Technologies. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenish production point of use inventory, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Provide customer service at the stores wicket, including completing inventory transactions and resolving customer inquiries.
- Manage incoming inventory from receiving, including transacting new material receipts, customer returns, and invoice receiving requests.
- Run daily reports, create manufacturing orders, and perform order picking tasks.
- Handle materials and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Receive Kanban material from suppliers and conduct stock/process audits and variance investigations.
Required Capabilities
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and demonstrated knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Experience working with perpetual computerized inventory management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills, as well as excellent communication skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including prolonged standing, climbing ladders, carrying, and lifting up to 20kg.
Desired Education and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Operations Management or a related field, with a certification in APICS or CPIM.
- At least 2 years of experience in inventory control or a related field.
